Trades Assistant - Electrical Team

We are currently seeking Casual Trade Assistants (ideally with Electrical experience, however not essential) to work alongside a highly skilled team of Industrial Electricians, on a variety of large and interesting projects. Although these are casual positions, there is ongoing work offering full time equivalent hours plus opportunities for additional overtime.

It is essential that you are able to obtain & maintain Defence Security Clearance to work at this site. To obtain this clearance, you MUST hold Australian Citizenship, be of good character, and have a clear Federal Police background check.

Duties will include:

• Assisting Electricians while they Diagnose, repair, install and program electrical equipment and control systems
• Provide assistance & support as needed in the workshop of around site as directed, including onboard Naval & commercial vessels

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has previously worked as an Trades Assistant, and who wants to further develop these skills

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Previous T/A experience gained working alongside Trades in an Industrial environment
• Excellent work ethic and a genuine interest in developing further
• Must hold (or obtain prior to commencing) White Card, RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights & RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces

Additionally, it’s great of you hold any High Risk Work Licenses (Elevated Work Platform, forklift etc) however, these are not essential.
